Over Halfway There :)

It's been awhile since I've updated, and things are changing everyday!!! Justin had to be out of town for three weeks, and while he was gone it was as though someone flipped a switch - morning sickness is gone (for the most part!). The day I picked Justin up at the airport I asked him if he would cook steaks that night. He looked at me, a little dazed, and said, "Yes...." We went to pick up the meat at our local butcher, Cossey's Custom Cut Meats, and when we walked in I said, "Mmmm!! Smells good in here!!" I've never seen such a look of shock, followed by a huge smile and hug. I could see it all over his face... "My wife has returned!!" :)

We're now 22 weeks along, and the past few weeks have been amazing. I've been feeling Baby Phillips kick more and more everyday, and Justin has even been able to feel and see his sweet movements! Justin had felt a good number of kicks, and then yesterday I said, "Ooh, come feel! He's moving!" Nothing new, except when Justin put his hand on my tummy he knew he felt something different. He asked what it was, and I told him that was more of a roll then a kick. Our sweet man is giving himself a great workout!

We had an appointment last week with Dr. Stanley at the Perinatal Center of Oklahoma followed by a regular checkup with Dr. Goff. At Dr. Stanley's office we were able to watch Baby Phillips for quite awhile, both in regular ultrasound mode and 3D!! They were able to record our session on DVD (I promise as soon as I figure out how to save it in a suitable format I will post it on here - until then enjoy the pic above). I can't even count how many times we have watched it, and of course we're sure he's the cutest baby ever! I think he looks a lot like Justin - Justin thinks he has my hands. :) Everything checked out great, from his bladder to his kidneys to his heart, brain, and more! He weighed 1 pound, 2 ounces, and his feet looked huge!! I can't wait to kiss those sweet feet. He yawned for us, stuck out his tongue, sucked his thumb, and many other things that made his Mommy and Daddy very happy (and tearful, of course)!

Well, we're over halfway there and enjoying every minute of this journey. Justin and I cannot wait to meet our little man, and we give thanks to God everyday for this miracle!!
