...and Sherman yawns...

The day is coming to a close for Justin and I - laying in bed as we speak! We've had a relaxed evening. In fact, we've had a relaxing past 5 days! Naps everyday, except today... some of us have to work! :) But hopefully I'll get back on that kick tomorrow for the second half of my hour lunch since I'm not sleeping well at night. I think it's a mixture of first trimester insomnia, worried Jilly, and, of course, Shaeffer being a little too cuddly and in my face. I'll take what I can get though! Today I had my first bout of nausea. Again, I'll take it! :)

For the real news... I went yesterday to Dr. Goff's. A little backstory - I called Jewell (Dr. Goff's AMAZING nurse) on Saturday morning right after we got the positive. Knowing she wouldn't be there, I left her a voicemail to call me Monday morning because I knew I would need to go in and get bloodwork, and I thought I would have to have another RhoGAM shot for our opposite blood types. She called on my way to work Monday morning to tell me to come in the afternoon for bloodwork, but that I wouldn't need to get the shot unless I started having problems. So, I trekked in the office on my lunch hour around 1:00p. They drew one little vile of blood - piece of cake! As I was leaving I stopped by Jewell's desk where her and Dr. Goff were sitting. They are so sweet to me - he congratulated me, I asked him a few questions while I had some face time, and went on my merry way. Fast forward to this morning, and Jewell called me to let me know the results from yesterday... GOOD NEWS!!! My progesterone was 30 (or 32 - my phone was cutting out, so let's go with 32), and my hCG was 2,963!! These are both great! She told me they look for anything above 20 on the progesterone, and my hCG is in the normal range for where we're at (roughly four and a half weeks). These are answered prayers!!

After we had our last "mishap", Dr. Goff was very proactive in running several different tests. We found out a few things that could have gone wrong last time and what we could do to hopefully correct the problem. Since that time I have been faithfully taking my prenatal vitamins, fish oil, folic acid, and one baby aspirin daily. After becoming pregnant I'm also taking progesterone. All that being said, I asked Dr. Goff if I should still be taking the fish oil when I saw him yesterday. He said, "Oh yes, that will make your baby smart!!!" Jewell piped in, "Smart like me!" They are so sweet to Justin and me. :)
